My parents had given me Volkswagen (V.W.) in the cradle, so that I actually started my first driving attempts in a VW Passat I and a VW Golf I. Soon, however, I was on the road in a Citroën GS. The first wow-experience of smoothly floating along occurred when the garage pointed out to me that the front spheres were flat and the shock-absorber of the rear spheres was defective. With new spheres I could only guess the road condition, almost all bumps and holes were ironed away. Still enthusiastic about the hydropneumatics and the unique operating comfort of the big Citroëns, today I am responsible for Desi, Winni and Schmucki.
